Job Opportunity – Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurse – California

Start Date: August 3, 2026

Location: Simi Valley, California

Schedule: Acute care setting with specialized consultation responsibilities

Highlights:

• Autonomous practice with full authority for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of wound, ostomy, and continence care programs
• Serve as expert resource and consultant for wound care management across all inpatient care areas
• Collaborative role working closely with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams
• Specialized focus on medically complex patients requiring advanced wound and continence care
• Conduct clinical rounds and provide consultation on pressure injuries, fistulas, draining wounds, and altered skin integrity
• Leadership opportunity to provide education and updated best practices to clinical staff

Requirements:

• Current RN license in California
• Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing certification (CWOCN or equivalent)
• Experience providing specialized care for medically complex patients in acute care settings
• Strong clinical expertise in wound assessment, ostomy management, and continence care
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and provide expert consultation
