Description
Start Date: July 26, 2026
Location: Metropolitan Georgia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Day shift, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, with every other weekend rotation required. 13-week assignment.
Highlights:
- High-volume CORE laboratory environment supporting a large acute care facility with 600+ beds
- Extensive Hematology focus utilizing Sysmex analyzers and CellaVision technology
- Complex case mix including neonatal specimens and advanced differential interpretation
- Fast-paced laboratory requiring independent decision-making and technical proficiency
- Daily exposure to challenging specimens including turbid samples, platelet clumps, and abnormal cell morphology
- Opportunity to work with a specialized team in a critical care setting
Requirements:
- Active Medical Laboratory Technologist or Medical Technologist certification
- Extensive hands-on experience in Hematology within a CORE laboratory setting
- Demonstrated proficiency with Sysmex hematology analyzers and CellaVision systems
- Previous experience in a high-volume hospital laboratory (600+ beds preferred)
- Strong competency in performing and interpreting manual differentials, particularly neonatal specimens
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex specimens and abnormal cell findings independently
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
