# Job Opportunity – Interventional Radiology Technologist – North Carolina

Start Date:

September 2, 2026 (subject to change based on orientation class and trainer availability)

Location:

Charlotte, North Carolina

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM), 40 hours per week. Weekend requirement: 1 weekend every 6-7 weeks. On-call rotation: one weekday per week following team rotation schedule.

Highlights:

  • Comprehensive interventional radiology and special procedures including stroke intervention, neuro procedures, vascular interventions, and complex abdominal/pelvic procedures
  • Advanced equipment platform featuring GE Innova single plane and Siemens Artis biplane systems with fluoroscopy and 3D imaging capabilities
  • Epic charting system with Pyxis medication management in a high-volume acute care environment (450 average daily census, approximately 20 procedures per day)
  • 13-week assignment with potential extension through February; 40-hour orientation provided with comprehensive onboarding
  • Collaborative team environment with full interdisciplinary support including IV teams, pharmacy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
  • Opportunity to work with stroke-certified protocols and participate in lead tech responsibilities

Requirements:

  • ARRT certification required; ARRT CI and ARRT VI preferred
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology and Special Procedures
  • Previous neuro/neurological interventional experience required; stroke-certified hospital experience strongly preferred
  • Travel healthcare experience required; first-time travelers will not be accepted
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • North Carolina license or compact state license
  • Comprehensive procedural competencies required including: neurological procedures (carotid angiography, embolization, stent placement, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, vertebroplasty), vascular studies (angioplasty, carotid stenting, central venous access, TIPS), abdominal/pelvic procedures (chemoembolization, IVC filter placement/removal, angiography), and genitourinary procedures (nephrostomy, biliary drainage, uterine arterial embolization)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in fluoroscopy, sterile technique, equipment setup, room circulation, and scrubbing to maintain sterile field
  • Ability to maintain equipment, manage PACS, stock supplies, and participate in inventory management
  • Full availability during orientation period with flexibility to accommodate schedule changes (may start Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of first week)
