Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: August 24, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 3x12 hour night shifts. Weekdays with occasional weekends and rotating holidays. Must be willing to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity.

Highlights:

• Progressive Care Unit focused on abdominal transplant patients including kidney, liver, and pancreas transplants
• Patient ratio of approximately 1:5 for optimal care delivery
• Epic charting system utilized for all documentation
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response Teams
• Diverse patient population including transplant recovery, rejection monitoring, hepatology, and GI bleed management
• Telemetry monitoring with specialized procedures including kidney biopsy recovery and paracentesis

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience required
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license in hand at time of application)
• Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and central line management
• Experience with Epic charting system required
• Skills in accessing/managing ports, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, and PICC line management
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager or director
