Description
Start Date: August 24, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 3x12 hour night shifts. Weekdays with occasional weekends and rotating holidays. Must be willing to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity.
Highlights:
- Progressive Care Unit focused on abdominal transplant patients including kidney, liver, and pancreas transplants
- Patient ratio of approximately 1:5 for optimal care delivery
- Epic charting system utilized for all documentation
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response Teams
- Diverse patient population including transplant recovery, rejection monitoring, hepatology, and GI bleed management
- Telemetry monitoring with specialized procedures including kidney biopsy recovery and paracentesis
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience required
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license in hand at time of application)
- Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and central line management
- Experience with Epic charting system required
- Skills in accessing/managing ports, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, and PICC line management
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
- Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager or director
