Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular ICU Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: September 21, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 36 hours per week, night shift. Weekdays and rotating weekends required (up to 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule period). Rotating holidays. Friday/Saturday weekends for night shift.

Highlights:

• Cardiovascular ICU specializing in cardiac, vascular, and thoracic critical care patients
• Estimated patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2, ensuring focused, quality patient care
• Advanced clinical experience with CABG, valve repair/replacement, TAVR, heart and lung transplants, VAD implantation, ECMO, and aortic repairs
• Epic EMR system utilized facility-wide
• Comprehensive orientation of 36 hours provided
• Float requirements limited to units of equivalent or lower acuity, with rotations no more than once every 4 weeks

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac ICU experience required
• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry, ventilator management, Swan-Ganz monitoring, conscious sedation, balloon pumps, and PA lines
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Two professional references required (at least one from a manager, director, or formal supervisor)
