Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery – Texas

Start Date: August 3, 2026

Location: Austin, Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 13-week contract, 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM), alternating weekends, no call requirement

Highlights:

• Level IV Labor and Delivery unit with 32 beds and high-volume obstetrical services
• Patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:1 depending on acuity
• Advanced fetal monitoring equipment including Novii, JADA, Fetal Pillow, IUPC, FSE, and ultrasound technology
• Meditech EMR system
• Procedures include spontaneous vaginal deliveries, cerclages, C-sections, TOLAC, and obstetric emergency care
• Structured charge nurse support on every shift with collaborative team environment

Requirements:

• Active RN license in Texas or compact state eligibility
• Minimum 2+ years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Fetal Heart Monitoring
• Competencies required: Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM), sterile vaginal exams (SVE), and C-section circulation
• Preferred: Internal monitor placement competency and experience in high-volume Level IV units
