Job Opportunity – Medical Laboratory Technologist / Medical Laboratory Scientist – Georgia

Start Date: August 3, 2026

Location: Atlanta, Georgia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with every other weekend rotation required

Highlights:

• High-volume laboratory environment in a large healthcare facility (600+ beds) with diverse and complex case mix
• Strong focus on microbiology, hematology, and differential analysis including neonatal specimens
• Utilizes Sysmex and CellaVision systems for automated hematology analysis
• Cerner EMR platform for laboratory information management
• Daily exposure to complex samples including turbid specimens, platelet clumps, and abnormal cell findings
• Fast-paced environment requiring independent decision-making and technical proficiency

Requirements:

• Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) certification required; Medical Laboratory Technician (MLTn) will not be considered
• Current ASCP, AMT, or AAB certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent clinical laboratory experience within specialty
• Strong microbiology background required
• Demonstrated experience with Sysmex and CellaVision systems preferred
• Previous work experience in a large hospital laboratory (600+ beds) strongly preferred
• Proficiency in performing and interpreting differentials, particularly neonatal samples
• Experience managing complex specimens and abnormal findings
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility location
