Description
Start Date: September 21, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, Friday and Saturday plus one weekday night per week. No call required. Flexibility is essential.
Highlights:
- Work with a specialized cardiovascular team performing advanced cardiac, vascular, and transplant procedures including CABG, valve replacements, heart/lung transplants, aortic aneurysm repairs, and ventricular assist devices
- Diverse case mix including open procedures (CABG, valve replacements, AAA, aortic dissections, amputations, fistulas) and endovascular cases (TVAR, EVAR, TAVR, angiograms, ablations)
- State-of-the-art facility with EPIC charting system and 7 operating rooms dedicated to cardiovascular and thoracic surgery
- Level I Trauma center environment providing critical care to adult and geriatric patient populations
- Scrub role with 1:1 patient ratio ensuring focused, quality patient care
- Travel assignment with local candidates also accepted at the same rate
Requirements:
- Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
- Minimum 3 years overall OR experience
- Minimum 2 years dedicated cardiac, vascular, and transplant experience
- Minimum 1 year CVOR experience required
- Minimum 1 year experience in a Level I Trauma facility
- Scrub experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Proficiency with EPIC charting system (required)
- Experience with critical procedures including heart/lung transplant, aortic aneurysm repair, CABG, laparoscopic cardiac surgery, mitral valve replacement, ventricular assist devices (LVAD/RVAD), abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, arteriovenous fistula repair, endovascular aneurysm repair, femoral popliteal bypass graft, and TEVAR
- Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
- Two professional references required: at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership role; charge RN acceptable for second reference
- Must be available for Ohio fingerprinting process immediately upon contract signing

Please note that strict compliance deadlines apply, with all credentialing requirements due by the Tuesday prior to start date. Candidates must be responsive and cooperative throughout the credentialing process. Former employees are eligible after being away from the facility for 6 months or more. One pre-approved time-off period may be requested and must be built into the contract at submission.
