Schedule: Variable shifts based on department needs; weekends may be required; 2:1 patient ratio; no on-call

Highlights:

• Phase I PACU position supporting a diverse surgical caseload excluding open heart and advanced specialized devices
• 23-bed unit with approximately 65 daily census and interdisciplinary support from Radiology, Pharmacy, and Transportation
• Epic charting system with comprehensive orientation provided
• Patient population includes all age groups: infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Preferred Trauma Level I experience; first-time travelers welcome
• Collaborative environment with 2:1 patient ratios across all shifts

Requirements:

• Active Pennsylvania nursing license or compact license required at time of submission
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS required
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience with ICU background and/or strong ER experience
• Recent PACU experience required – candidates must have worked in a dedicated PACU role in their most recent position
• Epic charting system experience required
• Proficiency in Phase I PACU skills including airway assessment, extubation, dysrhythmia recognition, conscious sedation, and post-operative care
• Experience with diverse surgical procedures including general, orthopedic, neuro/spine, vascular, and bariatric cases
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Must complete Pennsylvania fingerprinting and childline clearances
• Must reside outside 50-mile local radius
