Description
Start Date: As Soon As Possible
Location: Alaska
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 3x12 Night Shift (may rotate to days every 4 weeks if needed), guaranteed 60 hours per 2-week period, every other weekend required
Highlights:
- 13-week assignment at a prestigious Magnet-designated acute care facility with Level II Trauma designation
- High-acuity Labor & Delivery unit with 10 OB triage rooms, 10 LDR rooms, 3 OR suites, and 4 PACU rooms
- Average 7 deliveries daily with up to 14 high-risk antepartum and induction patients
- Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
- Opportunity for charge nurse training and professional development in high-risk obstetrics
- Free parking provided; scrubs supplied by facility
Requirements:
- Active Alaska RN license (pending licenses accepted for submission, but must be in hand prior to start)
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced
- Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience
- Epic charting system experience required
- Charge experience preferred or willingness to train for charge responsibilities
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from facility location
- Willingness to work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
- Must provide 2 professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
- Hepatitis B vaccination required (titers or declination not accepted)
