Job Opportunity – Surgical ICU/Oncology Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: September 21, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, Day/Night rotating or Nights only. Shift assignments reviewed every 4-week scheduling period based on departmental needs. Patient ratio 2:1 across all shifts.

Highlights:

• Work in a high-acuity Surgical ICU managing complex patient diagnoses including hemorrhagic shock, sepsis, ARDS, stroke, and post-craniotomy care
• Utilize Epic charting system in a fast-paced critical care environment
• Perform advanced procedures including External Ventricular Drain management, ICP monitoring, CRRT, mechanical ventilation, and vasopressor titration
• Orientation includes 72 hours to ensure successful transition to the unit
• Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and physical therapy
• 12-bed unit with daily census of 11 patients, caring exclusively for adult populations

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required (current and consistent within the last 12 months)
• Epic charting system experience required
• Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license in hand at time of submission)
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Oncology experience preferred but not required
• Previous travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted for this position
• Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Two professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership role)
