Description
Start Date: August 10, 2026
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00 PM to 2:30 AM; 13-week assignment
Highlights:
- Work in a comprehensive Pathology Laboratory supporting surgical services
- Diverse case mix including Pathology, Cytology, and Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
- Hands-on experience with specimen accessioning, tissue processing, embedding, cutting, and staining
- Utilize Cerner EMR system for specimen tracking and documentation
- Evening shift schedule with consistent Monday through Friday hours
- 13-week contract with potential for extension
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Histology Technologist in a Pathology Laboratory setting
- Current ASCP certification (HT or HTL) required
- Successful completion of a formal histology technologist training program, or an Associate's degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences
- Proficiency in specimen receiving, accessioning, block collection, tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and slide staining
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
