Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Step Down Unit – Georgia

Start Date: September 8, 2026

Location: Atlanta, Georgia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 48-hour contract week; Medical Step Down Unit with 16-20 beds; nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4

Highlights:

• Work in a progressive Medical Step Down Unit caring for patients with complex, acute conditions
• Manage a diverse case mix including Sepsis, Heart Failure, Hypertensive Emergency, Respiratory Failure, COPD, Chronic Kidney Disease, Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, Substance Abuse, Status Epilepticus, and Encephalopathy
• Balanced nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 supports quality patient care and clinical excellence
• 48-hour weekly contract providing consistent scheduling
• Opportunity to utilize advanced clinical skills in a high-acuity intermediate care environment

Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia or eligible for licensure
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Medical Step Down, Progressive Care, or similar acute care setting
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
