Schedule: 12-hour rotating day/night shifts; shift assignments reviewed every 4-week scheduling period based on staffing needs; goal patient ratio 1:4 (may be 1:5); variable weekend coverage based on unit needs

Highlights:

• Acute care unit specializing in newly diagnosed acute leukemia patients with medical/telemetry focus
• 24-bed unit with daily census of 22; adult and geriatric patient population
• High-volume blood product administration, IV antibiotics, and electrolyte management
• Epic electronic charting system; GE telemetry monitoring system
• Strong interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, rapid response teams, respiratory services, and social services
• 72-hour orientation provided; may float to other Medical/Surgical Oncology units

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience required; must be current and consistent within the last 12 months
• At least 1 year of PCU/Stepdown experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification preferred; ONS Chemo certification preferred but not required
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood product administration, central line blood draws, PICC line management, and starting/maintaining IVs
• Epic charting system experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
• Two professional references required: at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership role
