Description
Start Date: August 31, 2026
Location: Georgia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio on a 38-bed unit with average daily census of 33 patients. Every other weekend required. Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed. No call required.
Highlights:
- Medical Surgical unit with remote telemetry monitoring
- Epic EMR system (experience required), Pyxis, SBAR documentation
- Patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics with various medical surgical diagnoses
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and lift teams
- 24 hours of orientation provided; first-time travelers accepted with minimum 1 year of experience
- Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract (must be finalized at time of submission)
Requirements:
- Active Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of application
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; first-time travelers accepted
- Current BLS certification required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Experience with 1:6 patient ratios preferred
- Skills required: Med/Surg nursing, rapid response/code team participation, peripheral line care and management, oxygen administration, isolation precautions/PPE, and non-invasive airway management
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Full compliance required to start on time
