# Job Opportunity – Emergency Department RN – Texas**Start Date:** August 2026 **Location:** Brownsville, Texas **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** Rotating 12-hour shifts including weekends; 2 weekends per schedule required; no on-call**Highlights:** - 22-bed Emergency Department with 4:1 patient ratio- High-acuity environment treating STEMI, stroke, sepsis, and trauma patients- Meditech EMR documentation system- Day shift staffing includes charge nurse plus 5 RNs; Night shift includes charge nurse plus 6 RNs- Collaborative team of 55+ staff members providing fast-paced, patient-centered care- No floating required – dedicated ER assignment**Requirements:** - Minimum 5 years of recent Emergency Department experience in a high-acuity setting- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required- TNCC, ENPC, and CPI certifications required or must obtain upon hire- Strong triage and critical thinking skills with experience using ESI guidelines- Proficiency in IV insertion, medication administration, EKGs, splinting, wound care, and moderate sedation- Experience with trauma and cardiac alerts, intubation assistance, CPR, rapid sequence intubation, and code response- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required**Why It's a Great Opportunity:** This position offers the chance to work in a dynamic Emergency Department where you'll care for a diverse patient population including stroke, cardiac, sepsis, trauma, and behavioral health cases.
