Description
Start Date: September 8, 2026
Location: North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 4x10 hour shifts, Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 5:30pm. 40 hours per week available. Call requirement: rotational basis with one week backup, then primary on Thursday (8 call days per 10-12 week period). Call extends from end of shift until 7:00am. Weekend call is 24 hours (Saturday and Sunday 7:00am - 7:00am). May be on call for one holiday as primary or backup.
Highlights:
- Work in a tertiary care center handling approximately 16 cases per day across three IR rooms
- Monday through Friday workload with rotational call coverage
- Provide pre and post coverage in Radiology Pre-Post Unit (RPPU) as needed
- Utilize EPIC charting system, PYXIS, and SBAR protocols
- Contract length of 13 weeks minimum, through February 27th end date or longer
- Scrubs provided (ceil blue); 8-hour orientation with hospital orientation week one
- No floating requirement; interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
- Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS/BCLS, NIH Stroke Scale
- Required Skills: Conscious Sedation, Telemetry, understanding of IR procedures including stroke/neuro procedures
- Preferred Certifications: PALS
- Preferred Skills: Circulating experience, ventilator management
- Must have experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, interventional radiology, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, and coiling procedures
- EPIC charting experience preferred
- Must be able to arrive at facility within 30 minutes for call requirements
- North Carolina or Compact nursing license (pending acceptable for submission)
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- First-time travelers accepted

Additional Information:
Candidates must be available for interview within 72 hours of submission. Pre-start modules (approximately 8-10 hours for acute care) must be completed online before start date using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge. Time off requests up to 7 days may be auto-approved (no holidays), and candidates must work 2 of 3 major holidays. No additional time off requests accepted after contract signing. Note that call-offs or additional time off could result in contract cancellation.
