Description
Start Date: August 31, 2026
Location: Georgia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend; patient ratio 1:5-6; average daily census of 48 patients in a 49-bed unit; no call requirements
Highlights:
- Renal Medical-Surgical specialty caring for adult to geriatric patient populations
- Epic EMR system required; facility also utilizes Pyxis medication management and SBAR communication
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more
- Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract; schedule requests must be finalized at time of submission
- First-time travelers accepted with minimum 1 year of experience
- Orientation provided with 12 hours of initial training; specialty-specific modules completed during orientation
Requirements:
- Active RN license in Georgia or Compact state license required at time of application
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; first-time travelers accepted
- Current BLS certification required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Experience with 1:6 patient ratios preferred
- Clinical skills required include blood product administration, central line management, chest tube care, colostomy/ileostomy care, feeding tube management, heparin administration, insulin management, isolation precautions, IV therapy, PCA pump management, PICC line care, pre/post hemodialysis management, telemetry monitoring, wound care/wound vac, and more
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
- Willingness to float within facility and scope of practice as needed
- Availability to work required major holidays per assignment schedule
