Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend; patient ratio 1:5-6; average daily census of 48 patients in a 49-bed unit; no call requirements

Highlights:

• Renal Medical-Surgical specialty caring for adult to geriatric patient populations
• Epic EMR system required; facility also utilizes Pyxis medication management and SBAR communication
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract; schedule requests must be finalized at time of submission
• First-time travelers accepted with minimum 1 year of experience
• Orientation provided with 12 hours of initial training; specialty-specific modules completed during orientation

Requirements:

• Active RN license in Georgia or Compact state license required at time of application
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; first-time travelers accepted
• Current BLS certification required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with 1:6 patient ratios preferred
• Clinical skills required include blood product administration, central line management, chest tube care, colostomy/ileostomy care, feeding tube management, heparin administration, insulin management, isolation precautions, IV therapy, PCA pump management, PICC line care, pre/post hemodialysis management, telemetry monitoring, wound care/wound vac, and more
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Willingness to float within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Availability to work required major holidays per assignment schedule
