Description
Start Date: August 16, 2026
Location: Wyoming
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Full-time contract position with potential to support other units as needed based on facility census
Highlights:
- Comprehensive maternal and neonatal care including Labor & Delivery, LDRP, Postpartum, and Level 1 Nursery
- Hands-on role including circulating during C-sections, attending deliveries, and neonatal assessments
- Experience with OB/GYN surgical patients, antepartum care, and triage required
- Collaborative care environment working alongside physicians and multidisciplinary teams
- Ongoing professional development with fetal monitoring and STABLE certification opportunities
- Contract assignment with structured onboarding and support
Requirements:
- Active Wyoming RN license or multi-state compact RN license
- Minimum 2 years recent experience in Level 1 Nursery, Postpartum, OB/GYN, and Labor & Delivery/LDRP
- Current ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE, and AWHONN certifications (must be American Heart Association certified)
- Experience caring for OB/GYN surgical patients, including post-op hysterectomy care
- Proficiency in antepartum, triage, labor and delivery, and postpartum care
- Strong clinical assessment and patient education skills
- Ability to provide family-centered care appropriate to diverse patient populations
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive plan of care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care across the maternal-child health continuum
- Circulate during cesarean sections and assist physicians during deliveries
- Conduct complete neonatal assessments at the neonatal station post-delivery
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions to the care team, physicians, patients, and families
- Provide patient and family education tailored to individual needs, culture, and circumstances
- Coordinate patient care across disciplines including transfers, discharges, and referrals
- Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of mothers and newborns
- Maintain competency through ongoing certification and training requirements
