Job Opportunity – Postpartum Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: September 21, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with weekend coverage required. Patient ratio of 3-4 dyads (6-8 patients) per shift for days, nights, and weekends. 36 hours of orientation provided. Two pre-approved time-off periods available per contract. May float to units of similar acuity as needed.

Highlights:

• Family-centered postpartum unit caring for mothers and newborns including vaginal and cesarean deliveries, healthy newborns, and neonatal abstinence syndrome (NAS) infants
• Couplet care model with comprehensive postpartum and newborn assessment responsibilities
• EPIC electronic medical records system with telemetry interpretation required (EKG exam must be passed prior to start)
• Strong interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response teams
• Approximately 60 patient daily census with diverse case mix including postpartum readmissions for wound infections and preeclampsia
• Travel contract with parking options available ranging from $15.67 to $215 per month

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of postpartum nursing experience required
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• IV start skills and IV certification required
• Labor and delivery (L&D) experience required
• EPIC electronic medical records experience required
• Valid Compact or Ohio RN license in hand at time of application
• Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Two professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership role)
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
• Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon contract signing
