Description
Start Date: August 31, 2026
Location: Georgia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 13-week assignment; 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio; 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period; floating within facility as needed; up to 7 days RTO available (blackout dates apply)
Highlights:
- 16-bed cardiac telemetry unit with average daily census of 16 patients
- Patient population includes adults to geriatrics with cardiac and vascular conditions including post MI, heart failure, arrhythmias, chest pain, and peripheral vascular disease
- Epic EMR required; unit also uses Pyxis and SBAR communication protocols
- Charge nurse experience preferred; first-time travelers accepted with minimum 1 year of experience
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, rapid response teams, and more
- No call requirements; orientation hours provided based on contract length
Requirements:
- Active RN license (Georgia or Compact state license required at time of submission)
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Experience with 1:5 patient ratios
- Proficiency in cardiac telemetry, EKG interpretation, dysrhythmia management, and associated cardiac skills
- Competency in central line care, blood product administration, cardiac drips, vasoactive drips, post-cardiac procedures, and telemetry monitoring
- Full compliance required prior to start date; documentation due Tuesday before scheduled start
