Location: Indiana

Schedule: 3x12 shifts with required rotation between Emergency Department, Adult ICU, Adult Medical-Surgical Unit, and Adult Progressive Care Unit. Every other weekend required (Saturday and Sunday). Holiday coverage includes 2 of 3 major holidays as determined by leadership.

Highlights:

• Float role supporting multiple high-acuity areas including Emergency Department, Adult ICU, Progressive Care, and Medical-Surgical units
• Full-service community-based facility with diverse patient population including pediatric care in the Emergency Department
• Advanced respiratory skillset required including ventilator management, airway management, and high-flow oxygen therapy
• Cerner charting system experience required
• Contract length of 13 weeks with opportunity to extend
• First-time travelers accepted with appropriate experience

Requirements:

• Active Respiratory Therapist license (must be in hand prior to start date)
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience required
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
• RRT credential required
• Proficiency in Adult Critical Care and Emergency Department settings
• Experience with airway management including intubation assist, extubation, endotracheal suctioning, and tracheostomy care
• Ventilator management experience including BiPAP, CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, and weaning protocols
• Neonatal/Pediatric experience including high-risk delivery assistance and CPAP/NICU support preferred
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Must be able to float between units based on clinical need and skillset
• Nursing degree from ACEN or CCNE accredited university (for RT program accreditation verification)
• Two supervisor references required
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
