Medical Laboratory Technician - AlaskaJob Opportunity – Medical Laboratory Technician – Alaska

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Alaska

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Variable shifts, 5x8-hour shifts (evenings and nights). Guaranteed 72 hours per two-week period. On-call rotation every 4 weeks for 1 week (6pm-12am Monday-Friday, plus weekend call). No regular weekend shifts unless on-call.

• Comprehensive lab experience including Blood Bank, CMP, CPC, COVID, FLU, and urine analysis

• Floating within scope may be required to meet facility needs

Requirements:

• ASCP MLT or MLS certification required
• BLS certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Laboratory Technician experience
• Proficiency in Blood Bank, chemistry panels, COVID/FLU testing, and urinalysis
• Epic charting system experience required
• Valid state license (pending licenses accepted, allow 10-12 weeks for processing)
• Previous travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Must reside at least 50 miles from facility location
• Hepatitis B vaccination required (titers and declinations not accepted)
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance with rental car coverage
