Description
Start Date: September 21, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Rotating schedule with flexibility between day and night shifts based on organizational needs. Weekend coverage required. 24-hour orientation provided.
Highlights:
- Work in a Progressive Care (Step-Down) unit with a strong focus on post-surgical and general medicine patients
- Patient ratios of 3-4:1 in Progressive Care and 4-5:1 in Medical-Surgical Telemetry settings
- EPIC EMR system utilized across the facility
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
- Experience with telemetry monitoring (both on-unit and remote) required; must pass telemetry test
- May float to other areas based on unit needs
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience (candidates with 1 year experience subject to manager review)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
- EPIC charting system experience required
- Telemetry monitoring experience and ability to pass telemetry competency test
- Core skills: IV starts, central and peripheral line care, blood product administration, medication administration, phlebotomy, patient education, isolation precautions, wound care, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin and heparin protocols, PCA management, and use of rapid response/code teams
- Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
- Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Two professional references required: at least one from a manager, director, or formal supervisor; Charge RN acceptable for second reference

- Ohio fingerprinting required urgently upon contract signing
- Former employees eligible after 6 months separation from facility
