Description
Start Date: September 21, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 36 hours per week; Night shift including every Friday night, every Saturday night, plus one additional night each week; 2:1 patient ratio
Highlights:
- Work in a Level I trauma center and burn center serving a tri-state area with diverse, high-acuity patient populations
- Gain experience with trauma, transplant, burn, general surgery, plastic surgery, ENT, colorectal surgery, orthopedic surgery, and overflow medical/neuro ICU patients
- Utilize Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, and more
- Opportunities to assist with advanced procedures including CRRT, bedside trachs/PEGs, bronchoscopy, endoscopy, line placements, and patient transport to imaging
- Work with specialized equipment including ventilators, NxtStage CRRT, wound vacs, EVD monitoring, ICP monitoring, and FloTrac systems
- First-time travelers welcome; floating to different units within the organization as needed
Requirements:
- Valid Ohio RN license or compact license (must be in hand at time of application)
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
- Surgical ICU, Trauma ICU, Burn ICU, or Transplant ICU experience strongly preferred
- Trauma Level II experience required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
- Epic charting system experience preferred
- Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager, director, or formal leadership position
- Strong skills in critical care competencies including arterial line management, central line care, ventilator management, vasoactive drip titration, blood product administration, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and care of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction

Additional Information:
Parking options available ranging from $15.67 to $215 per month with various shuttle services and proximity levels. Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only). Strict compliance deadlines apply; Ohio fingerprinting process must be completed immediately upon contract signing. Former employees eligible after 6 months away from the facility.
