Schedule: 12-hour shifts; every other weekend required; holiday coverage as applicable; maximum 7 days requested time off per contract

Highlights:

• 36-bed telemetry unit with average daily census of 35 patients serving adult to geriatric populations
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5 with comprehensive cardiac and medical diagnoses including CHF, MI/chest pain, dysrhythmias, sepsis, and PE/DVT
• Epic EMR system required; experience with Pyxis and SBAR communication preferred
• Manage cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration) including milrinone, dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Lidocaine, and Heparin protocols
• Strong interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• First-time travelers accepted with minimum 2 years of experience; full compliance required prior to start date

Requirements:

• Active Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience with 1:4-5 patient ratio experience
• BLS and ACLS certification required; NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Demonstrated competency in cardiac telemetry, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of cardiac drips, pre/post cardiac catheterization care, blood product administration, and central line management
• Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management, high flow nasal cannula, chest tubes, IV insulin protocols, and wound care/wound vac preferred
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
