Schedule: Every other weekend required; 12-hour shifts with 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio; no call required; maximum 7 days requested time off per contract

Highlights:

• Specialized 10-bed cardiovascular intensive care unit caring for adult to geriatric population
• Advanced patient population including LVADs, intra-aortic balloon pumps, Swan-Ganz catheters, temporary pacemakers, and CRRT
• Multidisciplinary rounds with intensivist Monday through Friday at 10 AM; intensivist present in unit weekdays
• Epic EMR system with supportive interdisciplinary team including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Free charge nurse model with typical 2-patient assignment; autonomy to titrate cardiac drips, vasoactive medications, and sedation
• Comprehensive orientation with 24 hours of paid training to ensure successful integration

Requirements:

• Active Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent cardiovascular ICU or critical care experience
• Proficiency managing complex cardiovascular patients including post-cardiac surgery, CABG, valve repair/replacement, and TAVR patients
• Experience with arterial line management, pulmonary artery catheter monitoring, ventilator management, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to communicate effectively with multidisciplinary care teams
• Full compliance documentation required prior to start date
