Schedule: 12-hour shifts; typically every other weekend; patient ratio 1:5–6 on days and evenings, 1:6 on weekends

Highlights:

• Overflow intermediate care unit with 32-bed capacity serving adult to geriatric populations
• Diverse patient case mix including cardiac, arrhythmia management, post-cardiac cath, renal, pulmonary conditions, DKA, and surgical overflow
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred; facility utilizes Pyxis and SBAR communication
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Float opportunities within facility scope of practice; call requirements are rare with 2-hour response time
• Maximum of 7 days requested time off (RTO) per contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission

Requirements:

• Active Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of progressive care or stepdown nursing experience; prior travel experience mandatory
• Demonstrated experience managing continuous IV medications including cardiac drips (Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Nitroglycerin), diuretics (Bumex, Lasix), anticoagulants (Aggrastat, Argatroban, Heparin), and insulin drips
• Competency in arrhythmia interpretation and management, cardioversion, TR band application, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Experience with 1:6 patient ratios and comprehensive med-surg skills
• Full compliance documentation required prior to start date to avoid delays
