Job Opportunity – Histology Technologist – Georgia

Start Date: August 24, 2026

Location: Atlanta, Georgia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 5:00 PM to 1:30 AM. 13-week contract assignment. Holiday requirements include 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve).

• Work within a comprehensive Pathology Laboratory supporting Surgery, Cytology, and Immunohistochemistry departments
• Utilize Cerner EMR for specimen accessioning and case management
• Full-scope histology responsibilities including specimen processing, embedding, microtomy, and slide staining
• Evening shift offering excellent work-life balance with no weekend commitment
• Minimum 2 years of histology experience required within the specialty
• 13-week assignment in a state-of-the-art laboratory environment

Requirements:

• ASCP certification as Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) required
• Successful completion of a formal histology technologist training program OR Associate's degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on histology experience
• Must be available to work 2 major holidays and 1 minor holiday as outlined in schedule requirements
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
