Description
Start Date: August 31, 2026
Location: Georgia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts with 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio; every other weekend required; floating within facility/scope of practice as needed
Highlights:
- General Medical/Surgical unit serving adult to geriatric patient populations
- Epic EMR system with Pyxis medication management and SBAR communication protocols
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Radiology, Social Services, and Rapid Response Teams
- Up to 7 days of requested time off available per contract (must be finalized at submission)
- First-time travelers accepted with minimum 1 year of experience
- 12-hour orientation with non-billable specialty-specific modules
Requirements:
- Active Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of submission
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; Med/Surg experience strongly preferred
- Experience with Epic charting system required
- Experience managing 1:6 patient ratios
- Proficiency in skills including: Blood product administration, central line management, IV starts and maintenance, PCA pumps, wound care, chest tubes, surgical drains, and isolation precautions
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Full compliance documentation due Tuesday prior to start date; core items and labs must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
