Description
Start Date: August 31, 2026
Location: Georgia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio, 19-bed unit with average daily census of 15. Every other weekend required. Floating within facility may be required. Holiday coverage expected per facility policy.
Highlights:
- Specialized oncology and hematology unit caring for patients from diagnosis through end-of-life care
- Epic EMR system with supportive technology including Pyxis and SBAR
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, pharmacy, lift teams, rapid response, and more
- Experience with chemotherapy administration, pain management (morphine/dilaudid drips, CADD and PCA pumps), and oncologic emergencies
- Up to 7 days of requested time off available (must be finalized at time of submission)
- 24 hours of orientation provided; first-time travelers accepted with minimum 2 years of experience
Requirements:
- Active RN license (Georgia or Compact state) required at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
- BLS certification required
- OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) certification required
- ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Experience with 1:6 patient ratios preferred
- Skills required: accessing/managing ports, chemotherapy administration and monitoring, central line care, blood product administration, neutropenic precautions, and body fluid handling post-chemotherapy
- Full compliance documentation due by Tuesday prior to start date
