Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend; patient ratio of 1:2-3; 24-bed unit with average daily census of 19; floating within facility/scope of practice as needed

Highlights:

• Diverse critical care patient population including ARDS, sepsis, stroke, STEMI, DKA, post-op complications, cardiogenic shock, GIB, COPD exacerbation, encephalopathy, liver failure, drug overdose, and ESRD on CRRT
• Epic EMR with Pyxis medication management and SBAR communication protocols
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• Advanced equipment experience with cardiac monitoring, FloTrac, IABP, artic sun, BIS, and train of four
• 13-week contract with up to 7 days of requested time off (must be finalized at time of submission)
• First-time travelers accepted with minimum 2 years of ICU experience

Requirements:

• Active Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of critical care nursing experience
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (must be obtained prior to start date)
• Experience with ventilated patients, central line care/management, CVA/acute stroke management, high flow nasal cannula, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, and suctioning (ETT, NT)
• Preferred experience with CVVHD/CRRT, post-cardiac surgery care, and post-neurosurgery management
• Ability to manage a 1:3 patient ratio when clinically required
• Full compliance documentation required prior to start; late compliance results in 2-week postponement due to bi-weekly orientation schedule
