Job Opportunity – Critical Care Float Pool Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: September 21, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Weekend day shifts (7:00 AM start) plus one weekday shift per week. Float assignment based on unit needs and patient acuity. Patient ratio 2:1.

Highlights:

• Float to multiple critical care units including Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs, Medical ICUs, Cardiology/Diagnostics, CVICU, SICU, and NCCU
• Work with a large academic medical center with 900+ patient daily census
• EPIC charting system utilized across all units
• Exposure to diverse patient populations including transplant patients (kidney, liver, lung, heart)
• 36-hour orientation provided to support transition
• Float policy supports assignments to equivalent or lower acuity units only

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record system
• Demonstrated competency in IV start, telemetry monitoring, and ventilator management
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Two professional references required (minimum one from manager/director or formal leadership)
• Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly upon contract signing
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccination not required
