Description
Start Date: September 21, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Three 12-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), 36 hours per week. Weekend and holiday availability required, with a minimum of 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule.
Highlights:
- Float pool opportunity providing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patient populations with flexibility to support units of equivalent or lower acuity
- Patient ratios of 1:4-5, allowing for quality patient interaction and comprehensive care delivery
- EPIC electronic health records system utilized for streamlined documentation
- 24-hour orientation provided to support successful onboarding and integration
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more
- Travel assignment with local candidates accepted; former employees eligible after 6 months separation
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical-surgical/telemetry setting
- Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required
- Proficient in IV starts and telemetry monitoring
- Experience with EPIC electronic health records system
- Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Skills in blood product administration, central line care, isolation precautions, IV insulin protocols, cardiac drip management, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, wound care, and tracheostomy care
- Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Two professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership role)
- Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon contract signing
- Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
