Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 36 or 48 hours per week. Patient ratios of 1:5-6. Weekend requirement of 12-16 shifts per contract. Floating within the facility required.

• Diverse patient population including medical-surgical diagnoses, telemetry, diabetes management, stroke care, and post-surgical patients
• Advanced clinical skills including remote telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, insulin protocols, wound care/wound vac, chest tube management, and high-flow oxygen therapies
• State-of-the-art documentation and medication systems including Epic EMR and Pyxis
• Robust interdisciplinary support including IV teams, rapid response teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, and phlebotomy
• First-time travelers accepted; local candidates welcome (rate differential applies)

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience in Medical-Surgical and/or Telemetry settings
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
• North Carolina RN license or compact state license
• Proficiency in Med/Surg nursing, telemetry monitoring, IV therapy, central and peripheral line management, wound care, respiratory support equipment, and isolation precautions
• Must pass EKG competency testing prior to start date
• Experience with heparin protocols, insulin administration, IV starts, blood product administration, and phlebotomy required
• Epic charting experience strongly preferred
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Ability to work during catastrophic events or disasters as part of storm/hurricane response team
