Description
Start Date: September 21, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Day/Night rotating or Night shift available; 12-hour shifts; rotating schedules reviewed every 4-week period based on department needs
Highlights:
- Specialized 36-bed Bone Marrow Transplant unit with mixed acuity progressive care and medical-surgical patients
- Comprehensive patient population including ALL, AML, lymphomas, multiple myeloma, and advanced CAR-T therapy patients
- Experience with autologous, syngeneic, and allogeneic stem cell transplants
- Epic EMR system with GE telemetry monitoring and Alaris pump technology
- 72-hour structured orientation with interdisciplinary team support including pharmacy, physical therapy, and rapid response teams
- Travel assignment with local and non-local candidates accepted; prior travel experience required
Requirements:
- Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience with at least 1 year of medical-surgical and oncology experience (current and active within the last 12 months)
- Hematology oncology experience strongly preferred
- Epic charting system experience required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- ONS Chemotherapy Certification preferred (not required)
- Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, blood product administration, central line management, and PICC line care
- Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Two professional references required (one must be from a manager/director or formal leadership role)
- Ability to float to other medical-surgical oncology units as needed
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required

Units are nice, staff are kind. Single patient rooms with 4:1 ratios day and night on med surg.
Cons
Scheduled every weekend, floated for the first 6 weeks of contract every shift. Not traveler friendly even though they say they are. Staff are treated well not travelers.
