Job Opportunity – Cardiac ICU Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: September 21, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 36 hours per week, day and night rotation available. Weekdays and some weekends, with rotating holidays. Up to 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule period (Saturday/Sunday for day shift; Friday/Saturday for night shift). Floating within units of equivalent or lower acuity may be required.

Highlights:

• Cardiovascular ICU setting with diverse case mix including CABG, valve repair/replacement, TAVR, heart and lung transplants, VAD implantation, ECMO, and aortic repairs
• Estimated patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2, ensuring high-quality critical care delivery
• Epic charting system utilized throughout facility
• Advanced equipment and procedures including Swan Ganz monitoring, IABP, Impella, CRRT, ventricular assist devices, and temporary pacemakers
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, physical therapy, rapid response teams, and more
• Orientation provided with 36 hours of onboarding support

Requirements:

• Current RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac ICU experience preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS certification preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Demonstrated competency in critical skills including IV starts, telemetry, ventilator management, Swan Ganz monitoring, conscious sedation, balloon pumps, and PA lines
• Experience with patient ratios of 1:2
• Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Two professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
