# Job Opportunity – Postpartum Registered Nurse – Texas**Start Date:** August 11, 2026**Location:** San Antonio, Texas**Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants**Schedule:** 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, rotating weekends, 36 guaranteed hours per week. Assignment length is 13 weeks with potential for extension.**Highlights:**- Provide care for high-risk antepartum patients, postpartum recoveries, and newborn nursery patients- Utilize electronic documentation systems including Meditech and CPN- Work within an award-winning facility that has earned an "A" Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group- Collaborate with a talented, patient-focused healthcare team committed to clinical excellence- Opportunity to work with advanced fetal monitoring systems- Float to Labor and Delivery as needed to support comprehensive maternal care**Requirements:**- Active Texas RN license (temporary licenses will not be accepted)- Minimum 2 years of hospital-based postpartum/newborn nursery experience- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification- Demonstrated ability to care for high-risk antepartum patients and postpartum recoveries- Newborn nursery care experience required- IV placement proficiency- RNC-OB certification and advanced fetal monitoring experience are preferred- Previous experience with Meditech documentation system preferred**Why It's a Great Opportunity:**This role offers the chance to join a dedicated maternal-child health team at a nationally recognized facility focused on exceptional clinical outcomes and patient experience.
