# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse – Postpartum / Newborn Nursery – Texas**Start Date:** August 10, 2026 **Location:** Irving, Texas **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** Night shift (7:00 PM start), 36 guaranteed hours per week, every other weekend required**Highlights:** - 13-week assignment caring for postpartum recovery and high-risk antepartum patients, plus newborn nursery care- Two positions available for experienced Labor & Delivery/Mother-Baby nurses- Meditech EMR system in use; experience preferred but not required- Float to other units as needed based on facility requirements- Must hold NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) and BLS certifications- Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM) and RNC-OB certification are valued but not required**Requirements:** - Active, unrestricted Texas RN license (temporary licenses not accepted)- 2+ years of hospital experience in postpartum and/or newborn nursery care- Experience with high-risk antepartum patients and postpartum recoveries- Current NRP and BLS certifications- Proficiency in IV placement and standard postpartum/newborn care procedures- Royal blue scrubs required; professional appearance standards enforced (natural nails, neat hair, minimal visible body art/piercings)**Why It's a Great Opportunity:** This role offers the chance to provide comprehensive care across the maternal-newborn spectrum, from high-risk antepartum through postpartum recovery and newborn nursery.
