# Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – West Virginia

Start Date: September 2026

Location: West Virginia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 3x12 night shifts, 19:00-07:00, weekdays with every other weekend rotation. No call, charge, or float requirements. 13-week contract with 24 hours of orientation.

Highlights:

• Combined adult and pediatric emergency department serving all age groups from neonates to geriatrics
• 9-bed unit with approximately 40 daily census and 4:1 patient ratio across all shifts
• Cerner charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including PT, respiratory services, radiology, and pharmacy
• Blocked schedule requests may be considered if submitted with initial application
• Trauma-level experience preferred with STEMI and stroke-certified facility background valued
• Burgundy scrubs provided; 75-mile radius rule applies

Requirements:

• Active West Virginia RN license (verification required via NURSYs)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
• Preferred certifications: CPI, MAB, NRP
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required; 5 years of ED experience strongly preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience required (first-time travelers not accepted)
• Proficiency in IV starts, triage, arterial line management, and emergency procedures
• Experience with ventilated patients, procedural sedation, and multi-system trauma care
• Two manager or charge nurse references from within the past two years required
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
