# Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – West VirginiaStart Date: September 2026Location: West VirginiaCompensation: Details provided to qualified applicantsSchedule: Four 12-hour shifts per week, mid-shift (11:00 AM - 11:00 PM), weekdays with every other weekend, holidays as assigned, no call, charge, or float responsibilitiesHighlights:- 13-week contract in a 9-bed emergency department with daily census of 40 patients and 4:1 patient ratio- Mid-shift schedule treating all age groups from neonates through geriatrics in a combined adult/pediatric emergency setting- Cerner charting system with 24 hours of orientation provided- Blocked schedule requests may be considered if submitted at time of profile submission- Interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and interpretation services- Burgundy scrubs required; must reside outside 75-mile radiusRequirements:- Active West Virginia RN License (or ability to obtain)- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS- Preferred certifications: CPI, MAB, NRP, TNCC- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; 5 years emergency department experience preferred- Previous travel nursing experience required (first-time travelers not accepted)- Proficiency in IV starts, triage, emergency medications, 12-lead EKG, blood product administration, and ventilator management- Experience with trauma care, procedural sedation, and managing behavioral health emergencies preferred- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)Why It's a Great Opportunity:This emergency department position offers the chance to utilize advanced clinical skills across the full lifespan in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
