Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM; 4 shifts per 6-week schedule

Requirements:

• Active RN License in Texas or compact state
• Current BLS certification (AHA only)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA only)
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• Current certification in Electronic Fetal Monitoring: AWHONN Intermediate FHM or NCC C-EFM required
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience in perinatal or related nursing specialty preferred
• Recent practice in a perinatal setting or completion of Perinatal RN Residency preferred

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care utilizing the nursing process for assigned patients
• Assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care according to ANA Standards of Practice
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for effectiveness and side effects
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed
• Participate in all required competency verifications and continuing education
