Location: Alexandria, Louisiana

Schedule: Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 12-hour shifts. 36 or 48 hours per week guarantees available. Every other weekend required. No call or floating requirements.

Highlights:

• Mixed cardiac and medical ICU with diverse case mix including DKA, acute respiratory failure, MIs, CABGs, and ventilator management
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1 for ICU patients and 4:1 for IMCU patients
• Overtime not billable until after 48 hours worked
• Comprehensive orientation and preceptorship with department-specific competency validation
• Opportunity to work with advanced cardiac support devices including intra-aortic balloon pumps and Impellas
• No floating to other units

Requirements:

• Active RN License in Louisiana or compact state
• BLS certification via AHA required
• ACLS certification via AHA required
• Experience with intra-aortic balloon pumps, Impellas, post-operative cardiovascular surgeries, and CRRT strongly preferred
• One year of Critical Care experience preferred; new graduates may be considered
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
