Description
Start Date: September 21, 2026
Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 3x12 hour shifts, days (shift times vary between 0645-1915 or 0900-2130); weekend coverage required; limited on-call for coverage of call-offs only
Highlights:
- 13-week assignment at a 407-bed Magnet-designated acute care hospital and Level II Trauma Center, recognized as the best hospital in Alaska by U.S. News & World Report
- Diverse case mix including trauma, oncology, orthopedic and spine procedures, neurosurgery, ENT, urology, gynecology, vascular, bariatrics, and pediatric cases
- Advanced surgical technology including Da Vinci Xi Robot, Mazor Robotic Spine System, and Stealth navigation
- Epic charting system; 18 operating rooms with daily census of approximately 40 cases
- Guaranteed 60 hours per two-week period; free parking provided
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, lift teams, interpretation services, and transportation
Requirements:
- Active Alaska RN license (pending licenses accepted for submission; license must be in hand prior to final offer)
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience required
- BLS certification required; ACLS and CNOR preferred
- Epic charting system experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
- Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
- Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
- Hepatitis B vaccination required (titers or declination not accepted)
- Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
- Willingness to float within scope to similar units as needed
