Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend required, per unit needs scheduling

Highlights:

• 26-bed Neuroscience and Surgical ICU within a comprehensive stroke center
• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 2:1, occasionally 3:1 or 1:1 based on acuity
• 13-week assignment or longer, with contracts extending through February 27
• Electronic charting via EPIC; medication dispensing via Pyxis
• Float opportunities to other ICU and intermediate care units
• 24 hours of paid orientation to ensure successful onboarding

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of critical care nursing experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state)
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Demonstrated expertise in ICP monitoring, ventilator management, telemetry, stroke management, and seizure management
• Proficiency with critical care skills including titrating vasoactive and cardiac drips, EVD management, arterial lines, central lines, and invasive equipment
• Must successfully pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
