Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts (days/nights or nights only), reviewed every 4-week scheduling period based on department needs; 24-bed unit with 23 average daily census

Highlights:

• Specialized Medical ICU caring for adult and geriatric patients with complex, hemodynamically compromised conditions
• Advanced procedures including mechanical ventilation, CRRT (using NxStage machines), pulmonary artery catheter placement, arterial pressure monitoring, and plasmapheresis
• Epic electronic medical record system required
• Common diagnoses include oncologic emergencies, COPD, pneumonia, ARDS, GI bleeds, sepsis, and complications from oncologic treatment
• 72 hours of orientation provided; two pre-approved time-off periods available
• First-time travelers accepted with appropriate experience

Requirements:

• Current Ohio RN license (or valid compact license) in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience in Medical ICU (must be current and consistent within last 12 months)
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Strong competency with ventilator management, IV starts, arterial line management, continuous IV sedation, and titration of vasoactive/cardiac drips
• Education from ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Two professional references required (one must be manager/director or formal leadership; charge RN acceptable for second reference)
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
