Schedule: Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Full-Time

Requirements:

• Active RN license in the state of Texas or compact state
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• Current ACLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• Current certification in fetal heart monitoring: AWHONN Intermediate FHM or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM)
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience in perinatal nursing or related specialty preferred
• Recent practice in a perinatal setting or completion of Perinatal RN Residency strongly preferred

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol; monitor for effectiveness and side effects
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and thoroughly
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to care team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Demonstrate independent practice while managing clinical contingencies effectively
