Job Opportunity – Emergency Department RN (Oncology Pod) – Ohio

Start Date: September 21, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, day/night rotation or 12-hour nights available. Patient ratio of 1:4. Floating may be required per unit needs. Orientation provided (76 hours).

Highlights:

• Work in a specialized Oncology Pod within the Emergency Department, one of the few dedicated oncology emergency care settings in the country
• Care for diverse patient populations including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics with complex and urgent cancer-related conditions
• EPIC charting system utilized facility-wide
• Collaborative environment with full interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams
• 14-week travel contract with opportunity for up to 7 consecutive days off (subject to approval)
• Unit features 15 rooms and 19 beds in a high-acuity, fast-paced emergency medicine setting

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
• 1 year of travel nursing experience required
• Oncology experience preferred but not required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Current acute care experience (must be actively working in specialty within the last 12 months)
• Valid Compact or Ohio RN license in hand at time of submission
• Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Required Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS
• Proficiency in IV starts and telemetry monitoring
• Skills including BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line care, ventilated patient care, emergency medications, interpretation of ABGs and dysrhythmias, and triage
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• 2 professional references required (at least 1 from manager/director or formal leadership)
