Job Opportunity – Electrophysiology (EP) Lab RN – Ohio

Start Date: September 21, 2026 (ASAP start preferred)

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 4x10 hour shifts, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM. Call requirements include one week of weekday call every two months (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM following regular shift) and one weekend of 24-hour call coverage every two months. Call volume is generally low; most call-ins are for pacemaker cases lasting approximately 2 hours.

  • Work in one of the largest and most advanced Electrophysiology programs in the region, utilizing state-of-the-art mapping systems and cutting-edge cardiology technologies
  • Collaborate with world-renowned electrophysiologists and a multidisciplinary team of skilled nurses, radiology technologists, and physicians
  • Gain experience with a comprehensive range of specialized procedures including cardiac ablations, device implantations, pacemaker/defibrillator lead extraction, Left Atrial Appendage (LAA) closure, and advanced electrophysiology studies
  • Electronic Medical Record system: Epic
  • 6-room EP Lab with daily census of approximately 22 patients, treating adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations
  • First-time travelers accepted; locals welcomed at the same rate

Requirements:

  • Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
  • Minimum 2 years of Electrophysiology (EP) Lab nursing experience required
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Proficiency in EP Lab procedures including cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, cardioversion, pacemaker insertion, and related electrophysiology interventions
  • Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
  • 2 professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership role)
  • Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
  • Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process immediately upon contract signing
