Description
Start Date: September 21, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 36-hour orientation provided; every other or every third weekend required; float coverage required as needed; 1:3.5 nurse-to-patient ratio maintained across all shifts

- Work in a high-acuity Level I Trauma Center with stroke and STEMI certification, managing a diverse patient population including pediatrics, adults, adolescents, and geriatrics

- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Pharmacy, and Unit Secretary staff

Requirements:
- Active Ohio RN license (compact or state license required at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and CPI certifications required
- Level I Trauma Center, stroke-certified, and STEMI-certified facility experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrated competency in triage, dysrhythmia interpretation, emergency medications, procedural sedation, ventilated patient management, trauma care, psychiatric holds, and pediatric emergency care
- Experience with arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care, IV vasopressors, continuous IV sedation and paralytics
- Proficiency in 12-lead EKG interpretation, phlebotomy, IV insertion and maintenance
- Two professional references required: one from a manager/director/supervisor and one from a charge nurse or leadership role
- Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program

Important Compliance Information:
- Strict compliance deadline of Tuesday prior to start date with no exceptions
- Ohio fingerprinting must be completed immediately upon contract signing – candidates within driving distance of Ohio must complete fingerprinting in-state as soon as possible
- Candidates located far from Ohio will receive mailed fingerprinting packets requiring urgent completion
- Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccination not required
- Former employees eligible after 6 months away from the facility; current employees ineligible
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate
